The Weather and the Books

1.
There's something in your eyes That I cannot quantify It would be a waste of time So I won't even try Turn on Christmas lights Unwrap the bottles that I brought by We don't have to drink them all tonight But we might I could think of a dozen cliches That I could not bring myself to say Let alone sing Defining the best experience of life I swear he replied "Eating toast in bed with the Smell of a girl on (his) fingers"
2.
I bought an Elizabethan house That had been built into a cliff Down in the basement a sharp shelf of rock Jutting up that shows you proof of it And sensing your discomfort I suggest we move upstairs When, as a child, you watched as your father Sprang up and leapt out into space He made it back but you would never be the same You were covering your face You're not a friend of nature and Nature has not been kind to you Riding elevators Hailing taxi cabs Cold cereal at the Algonquin This city is not so bad
3.
We made the drive and We found the place and Even now I see your face In the yellow room at a window seat I could have stayed the whole week We saw a very good show One or two We smoked a bit and then I took you to the yellow room Past the window seat I could have stayed the whole week
4.
Just Outside 03:05
I'll be outside I love to see the girls in their dresses and I love it when the boys are dressed really nice but I can't take the music they're playing tonight What a beautiful night I can't watch the floor so I'll look at the sky Yes, I feel fine Just fix me a drink and turn out the light
